WBF

A Natural Source of Fiber & Sweetness

Available In

Benefits

WBF is one of the four cultivated forms of the plant Beta vulgaris of the Amaranth family (Amaranthaceae), cultivated as a source of food.

The water absorption capacity of WBF is four times (4x) its weight. Furthermore, it contains a high percentage of natural sugars. As a result, it is the perfect premix for the baking industry.

WBF contains no phytic acid. Cereal products, such as bran and flour, contain phytic acid, forming strong chemical complexes with iron and zinc, hence reducing the natural absorption of these essential minerals in the human body.

WBF is naturally gluten-free, which means it is an excellent dietary fiber source for people suffering from gluten intolerance.

Competitive Edges

WBF Reduces the cost of manufacturing bakery products by:

  • Increasing the number of loaves per batch
  • Reducing sugar consumption/batch
  • Eliminating additional gluten requirement
  • Increases the keeping quality of bakery products

WBF is a highly nutritious and excellent source of dietary fiber (14-55%), soluble fiber, natural sugar (30-35%), essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and protein.

High fiber in WBF supports the improvement of the digestive system, improves gut performance and nutrient absorption, lowers cholesterol level and weight, and may reduce cancer risk.
